Tozo means always attractive something. Today, I also like that. It’s about Tozo OpenEgo. The beautiful look, new model, and budget-friendly. What else does a user need?
You are an audio lover and finding something special. Today I will try to discover and provide the testing result of Tozo OpenEgo. We have tested many different environments to find out these buds’ positive, negative, and exceptional factors. Let’s dive into the deep.
First, think. We want to know about OpenEgo. It’s included in the design. It’s like the open buds. In our review journey, we have discussed Tozo open buds in the past. OpenEgo and Open Buds are almost the same concept. In short, we can provide a specific definition: listening to music while remaining aware of the neighborhood.
Packaging
It is nothing new in Tozo. Because Tozo always creates good-quality packaging. This time is also the same. I do not find any difference compared to previous products Tozo T21 which I have reviewed. The box is rectangular. The box measures 4 inches in height and width 3.5 inches And weighs 163 grams. The package is white and has silver and black text.
Unboxing Experience
Presently I do not see anybody who wants to buy earbuds without seeing the unboxing video. For thinking of this criteria, we also create an unboxing video. We also expect, before using earbuds please look at the earbuds live in the video first. Enjoy this unboxing video below!!

Overview of Tozo OpenEgo Earbuds
The TOZO OpenEgo earbuds are designed to provide an impressive audio experience with their 16.2mm-diameter drivers, which offer enhanced sound quality by delivering clear highs and deep lows. These earbuds are equipped with TOZO OrigX Acoustics technology, which fine-tunes the audio for a richer and more detailed sound, making your listening experience more enjoyable.
One of the standout features of the OpenEgo earbuds is their open-ear design. This allows you to remain aware of your surroundings while still enjoying your music or taking calls, making them suitable for activities like walking, running, cycling, or driving. The dual-microphone noise-canceling technology ensures that your voice comes through clearly during calls, filtering out external noise for a more natural conversation.
Comfort is also a priority with these earbuds. They come with ear supports to improve the fit, ensuring they stay securely in place even during intense activities. The IPX5 sweat-resistant rating makes them durable enough to withstand tough workouts and outdoor conditions.
The TOZO OpenEgo earbuds can be customized through the TOZO app, which offers 16 different EQ modes. This app allows you to personalize your sound settings and make adjustments to suit your preferences.
Battery life is another strong point of these earbuds. With a 600mAh charging case, they offer up to 30 hours of total battery life. The digital power display on the case lets you easily monitor the remaining battery life of both the case and the earbuds, so you can always stay powered up.
Testing Result
Now let’s dive into some real-time testing that my team members tested and find out all the characteristics of Tozo OpenEgo.
We have tested OpenEgo for a few months at a strength. We claim our testing result will be more realistic than general.
Microphone Testing: Tozo OpenEgo has dual-mic noise cancellation. DNS noise cancellation technology clears the call by eliminating the outside noises. I have recorded my voice using the Tozo OpenEgo mic below.
Test in the reading room: No, it’s not perfect for the reading room. I have used it several times in the reading room. It’s not 100% perfect for the outside noises. But if the room is quiet, then you may try this.
AC Room: If the volume is 50% in the AC room, the sound cannot be heard.
Podcast: I have listened to some podcasts and am 50% satisfied, I can give 5 out of 10.
Bedtime: Not perfect for bedtime because of its loose fitting.
Cycling Time: I tested the buds for almost seven days and had no problems. But I do not recommend OpenEgo for cycling. If you ride fast and make a hard break, it may fall from your ear. But if you want to cycle in the gymnasium, then it’s okay.
Vehicle Horn: Yes, vehicle horns are heard well.
Shopping mall: Yes, you can use it in the shopping mall. Please try to avoid earbuds in the shopping mall.
Gaming: I have played COC and PUBG using OpenEgo. I feel as usual than general earbuds.
Raining: Not, perfect because it’s IPX-5 rating. So it’s not suitable in the rain. I have not tested in the rain because it’s too risky.
Meditation time: No, it’s not perfect for meditation. For meditation, you need to completely block the outside noises, like TOZO HT2.
DB: I have tested MIN. AVG. and MAX. DB by Sound meter apps.
Test Result
MIN | AVG | MAX |
Notice: This measurement is not 100% accurate. It would be best if you thought to decrease or increase the measurement.
You can also personally check by Android apps. Install the sound meter app, play a song, and review the app.
For that reason, we tested three different apps and our sound level was 50%. During the testing time, we played the Ignite (K-391 song) (Alan Walker). See the images below.
Tozo App: Yes, OpenEgo supports Tozo App. I have checked all the features of the apps. See the screenshot below for available features in the apps.
Sound Delay Test: I have also tested a sound delay test. I do not get any abnormal. It’s perfect. You can see the recording video below.
Ringtone: Incoming calls sound another classical ringtone while using OpenEgo. The ringtone given on the mobile does not ring.
Open Place: I have tested in the open field and lakeside. In this type of place, I have heard outside noises.
Comfort with glass: It’s perfect with glass. Not make a single issue. I suggest using it without thinking a bit.
Ringtone: Incoming calls sound another classical ringtone while using OpenEgo. The ringtone given on the mobile does not ring.
Open Place: I have tested in the open field and lakeside. In this type of place, I have felt friendly outside noises.
Weight: The weight is average, not lightweight. But I feel better to use it. Let’s prove it. You do not need to hard work to prove it. Just see the table below.
Exercise: OpenEgo has an IPX5 rating, I do not recommend you for exercise because sweating may damage the buds. But If you want to do some simple exercise you may continue.
Jump: Can make small jumps. It will not be a problem.
Friendly With Outside Noises: Yes OpenEgo is friendly with outside noises.
Like Room Speaker Sound: I have used the buds many days in a soundproof room and I feel the sound like a room speaker. It creates my attention.
Feelings Beter: One of the good things about Open Buds is that while using normal earbuds, it feels like the ears are closed, but OpenBuds doesn’t feel like that.
Smart Charging Case: It takes that smart to carry the charging case by hand.
Ear Pain: If used continuously for two hours, the right side of the ear hurts.
Coloring Beauty Of Case: I have tested the white charging case and the case beauty makes me attractive. See the clips below.
Jeans Pocket: I use my jeans pocket to keep my charging case.
